Ryan Considine

December 29, 1990 — July 10, 2016

Considine, Ryan Matthew of Cincinnati, loving son of Robert and Mary Considine, dear brother to Colin, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2016. He was due on Christmas Day, but born in Indianapolis on December 29, 1990. His spirit will shine forever in the hearts and minds of all whose lives he touched. He was a devoted grandson to Mary and the late Vincent Fox, and the late Lois and Donald Considine, all of Indianapolis. He was a close nephew and cousin, and loyal friend to so many. As a young man, Ryan enjoyed playing basketball and football, and graduated from McNicholas High School in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Louisville in May of 2016-- a school and city he loved so dearly. He majored in Journalism with a minor in English. He contributed 19 articles to features and news/opinion sections of the Louisville Cardinal Newspaper, including stories on Asian democracy, political activists, and noted authors. Ryan shared a great love of reading with his late Grandfather, Vincent, and shared his grandfather's philosophy that accumulating library fines was an inevitable and welcomed part of an avid reader's lifestyle. "Le Petit Prince" was their favorite book. Ryan's Uncle Terry played a significant role in his life as well, sharing their passion for reading, sports and music. Ryan loved traveling and family life. These included a myriad of fishing trips to Minnesota with his father, brother, and favorite uncles; late-night campfires at Fish Lake; and running conversations with his brother Colin. His mother was admittedly his best friend. He volunteered in weekly soup kitchens, animal rescue shelters, and in Nicaragua, serving the poor. He received the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation in the Catholic Church and followed the way of Christ. There will be a visitation at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Anderson Township, on Thursday, July 14 from 4-7 pm. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday at 10 AM to celebrate Ryan's beautiful life and his legacy of love. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the William F. Ekstrom Library, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, which will inspire and enrich the lives of others. T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home serving the family.
