Scott William Davis, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 56. Dear son of the late Lowell (the late Janet) Davis, & Marjorie (the late Smokey) Burgess. Devoted father of Jessi (Brett) Haning, Isabelle Davis, & Jackson Davis. Caring brother of Stephen (Terri) Davis & the late Terri Williams. Loving grandfather of Brooks Haning. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Scott is a former officer of the Madeira police department. A proclamation by Mayor Mel Martin declared April 30, 1996 “Officer Scott Davis Day”, honoring his role in the high speed pursuit and capture of a bank robber. Following his service with the police department, Scott held security leadership roles at Universal Orlando Resort, Tiffany & Co Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Public library system.
Scott’s greatest joy was his children, with whom he shared his love of movies, comic books, country music and the Smokey Mountains. His annual trip to Maggie Valley every July was the happiest week of his entire year and his excitement about it was contagious. He was eager to help others whenever he could and had a volunteer spirit, most notably through his work with the Make-A-Wish foundation - where, for seven years he served families in difficult medical situations.
Scott was an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend to many. His love and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, at 6pm. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 4pm-6pm. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
