Steven William Kennedy, 70. Cincinnati, Ohio, December 17, 2020.
Steve was a beloved husband of 40 years to Grace Kennedy (nee Farrell), devoted father of Steve Jr. (Catherine) and Dan (Mimi), and loving Pops to William (Steve III), Julia Grace, Patrick, Grant and Paige. He was a dear brother of Gwen Smith, Pat Fries, Paul (Joanne), Bob, and the late Dan (Kathy) Kennedy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.
Steve grew up in Terrace Park as the fifth of six children to Paul and Edna Kennedy. He graduated from Mariemont High School (69) being recognized as most witty by his classmates and was later inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame (football, basketball, baseball). Steve graduated from Otterbein University (73) outside of Columbus, Ohio, double majoring in Business Administration and Art, while also pitching on the varsity baseball team. He returned to Cincinnati where he met the love of his life, Grace (known by her nickname Renie) and worked for more than three decades with two of his brothers as an owner of Kennedy Associates, a food brokerage company started by his father.
Steve was an exceedingly special man, combining an unmatched humor with unconditional caring. He never met a stranger, and he made those who crossed his path laugh, often hysterically. He loved Reds baseball and playing golf with his brothers and friends.
