December 31, 1946 — February 16, 2025

Steve Novak a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, at the age of 78. Steve was the devoted husband to Vicki Novak, his partner in life for 54 years. Together, they built a life rich in love and family, raising three wonderful children, Steve, Ben and Kilee. Steve's family grew to include his cherished daughter-in-law Jill Novak, son-in-law Dwayne Holt and grandchildren, Alyssa Novak; Lily, Halee, Aubrey, Benjamin Novak and Wyatt, Tanner, Harper and Hunter Holt. He is preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Rosetta Novak and son Steve Novak. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Lokun. He took immense pride in his family and found endless joy in the moments that he spent with them.

Steve grew up in Port Clinton, Ohio where he met Vicki two years his junior. Steve and Vicki wed on June 13, 1970 in Meridian, Mississippi. Steve was Vicki's Officer and Gentleman. Their adventure began and took them to the winter in Quantico, VA, the lights in Los Angeles, CA to the house in Cincinnati, Ohio. They traveled to Paris, Hawaii, Cancun, South of France, North Carolina and one of their favorite spots, southern Florida.

Steve was a proud Alumnus of Ohio University where he studied accounting. He proudly served in the Marines Corps and became a Captain in the airwing.

To know Steve was to Love Steve. He was bigger than life and everyone around him benefited from his contagious personality. He was a coach to many and a huge source of knowledge and strength to many. He could tell stories like no other and make you laugh uncontrollably. His passion for life, his love of God, Country and his family will be greatly missed. He battled stage four cancer for five and a half years and fought until the end. He showed us all how to fight with a positive outlook on a day-to-day basis. His strength was contagious, and he touched many lives through his life. Once a Marine always a Marine!
