Stuart Carey

Stuart D. Carey, 91, of Cincinnati, OH passed away on June 3, 2024. He was the son of Ralph and Louise (nee Preiser) Carey and brother of Carolyn (nee Carey) Gehrke. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty (nee Kuntz) Carey and his second wife, Jean (nee Deskins) Carey.

He is survived by his wife Jo Pat (nee Stokes Huggins) Carey, children Lisa (Mark) Ericksen of Cincinnati, OH and Lynn (Kevin) Pinner of Rockford, MI; grandchildren Lauren Pinner, Shannon (Mike) Wynne, Jonathan Ericksen and step children Jill (Ben) Nicholson and Tripp Huggins.

Stu received his Bachelor's in Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati and his MBA from Xavier University. Early in his career, he worked for Interlake Steel in the Human Resources Department. For the majority of his career until his retirement, he was a Human Resources Manager at Senco Products, Inc.

He had an avid love of cars. For three decades he was an active drag race driver at Edgewater Raceway. Stu thoroughly enjoyed those years, stating he especially enjoyed all the folks he met and raced with. He was a lover of a wide variety of music. He was an enthusiastic fan of college basketball. He had season tickets for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, then the Xavier University Musketeers for over forty seasons. Stu was an Elder, as well as a faithful member of Parkside Christian Church for twenty years. His faith in Christ sustained him.

Services will be held at Parkside Christian Church, 6986 Salem Rd, Cincinnati, OH on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation to precede the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Procession to Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave will immediately follow the service. Friends and family are invited back to Parkside Christian Church for a luncheon following the interment.
