Sylvio J. Vilardo, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2022 just two months shy of his 100th birthday. He is the loving husband of the late Sylvia J. Vilardo (nee Crocker), beloved father of Dr. Michael (Marcie), Thomas, Rev. Rick (Cynthia), Robert (Julie), and the late Dante (Lee) Vilardo, dear grandfather of Christopher, Laura, David, Raven, Anthony, Stephen, Mason Bransen, Laura, Dawsyn, and Logan, great-grandfather of Ava, Benjamin, Camryn, William, Lillian, and Brooks, son of the late Ernesto and Domenica Vilardo, brother of the late Ralph Vilardo, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sylvio was born in Rio de Janeiro, lived many years in Tripoli, Libya, then Rome, Italy following WWII before coming to the United States. He eventually settled in Cincinnati where he met his wife, Sylvia. A proud moment for Sylvio was when he became a US Citizen in December 1951. Family and friends may visit at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, 1345 Grace Ave Hyde Park, on Friday, April 8th from 10 AM - 12 Noon with the Memorial Service at the Church at 12 Noon, followed with the burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
