Thelma J. Ilhardt
(September 25, 1929 - July 16, 2020)
Mrs. Thelma Janet (Craver) Ilhardt passed away quietly on Thursday July 16, 2020. She was 90 years old, born September 25, 1929, the seventh of seven children. A past resident of Mifflinville PA, Erlanger KY, and Cincinnati Ohio.
She was married to the late Howard Ilhardt in Cincinnati Ohio on July 17, 1954. Thelma grew up in Mifflinville Pennsylvania on a farm outside of town, and graduated High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA.. Shortly after school, moved to Erlanger, KY with her mother in 1953, where she met and married Howard and moved to Cincinnati in 1954, giving birth to four children, whom she brought up in faith at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church.
She was blessed with the love of many friends and relatives and was active in several churches upon moving as the family grew, including Amelia Methodist Church, Mount Moriah Methodist Church, and Open Door Baptist Church. Some of her favorite hobbies were knitting, crocheting, crafts and cooking, canning many of the foods for the winter months. She enjoyed traveling and RV camping with family and friends, having visited most of the United States. She was active in Clermont County AARP group and enjoyed the many friendships, activities and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard, her parents Laura and Benjamin Craver, her daughter Janet and son Jeff, her older sisters Edna Shoemaker and Phyetta Fitzgerald, and brothers Harold, Claude, and Charles Craver. She is survived by two children, James and John Ilhardt and daughter in law Mary, niece Dawnita Shoemaker, nephew Elwood Shoemaker and his wife Jan.
Friends may visit at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington on Mon. July 20, from 10-11 AM. Funeral Service is Private. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
