Stilgenbauer, Thomas E, a beloved man of honor, humor, and integrity, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 surrounded by his wife of 46 years, Jeanne, his sisters Joann (Larry) Baldwin and Kathy (Bob) Littmann, his four children Jim (Kirsten), Suzy, Gina, and Andrea Stilgenbauer, along with grandsons Nathan and Andrew Stilgenbauer, and Gabriel Gawthrop. He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Ned Stilgenbauer, and brother Stephen Stilgenbauer. Tom was born on September 26, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1970. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and practical decision-making led to a distinguished career in executive management. Tom's accomplishments included his tenure as president of SuperX Drug Stores and later being named CFO of the year while at Cincinnati Works. He was also proud to serve as Board Chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, impacting the lives thousands of children over his 20 years of service. Tom was passionate about his personal interests, including his love of family. His three grandsons provided great joy to him during his decade long fight against lymphoma. His friends appreciated his sense of humor and love of music. He enjoyed music from the 1950s and 60s, especially singer Brenda Lee, serving as the president of her fan club and eventually becoming friends with the singing legend. Tom will be remembered as a man of faith that felt a great sense of responsibility to use his unique God given talents to make an impact on the world. In his own recent words, "I am a happy, happy man. I just don't know how much more one could wish for." Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vernonica Church, 4473 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd., on Saturday, July 11 at 10 am. Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Friday (Today) from 5 pm to 8 pm. If desired, memorials may be directed to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, 2400 Reading Rd., 45202.
