Thomas Thornton

Thornton, Thomas H., of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and formerly of Anderson Twp., passed away in Florida on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 80 years. He was a 32 year veteran of the Cincinnati Fire Department and the beloved husband of the late Mary Frances Thornton (nee Brummett), devoted father of Trudie (Robert) Marzig, Tamie (John) Knepfle, Teresa (Chris) Mackzum, and Tom (Jenn) Thornton, loving grandfather of Jamie (Jesse) Storm, Lauren (Frank) Curington, Kira (Justin West) Marzig, Jessica (Keith) Swarts, John (Jessie) Knepfle, Jenni (Grant) Gieseler, Joe (Jensine) Mackzum, Jill Mackzum, Sarah Thornton, and Tommy Thornton, brother of Ginny Eckel, Marilyn Wills and the late James Thornton and JoAnn Mussman. Also survived by many great-grandchildren who he loved to watch play and spend time with. A Blessing will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Monday, Oct. 17 at 10 am. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.
