Valerie J. McCarty

After a long battle with cancer, Valerie Jean McCarty (DeMonge), passed at the age of 70. Her loving family surrounding her. 

She was born on May 26, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elva and Don DeMonge. Valerie was a graduate of Anderson High School and Cincinnati State and a long-time employee at Procter & Gamble. 

Valerie is survived by her husband of 40 years, John McCarty who she built a wonderful life with. They enjoyed boating, car shows and dinning with family and friends. Valerie also had a love for fashion, shopping, and animals. 

Valerie is also survived by her parents Elva (Orville) Wright and Don (Marilyn) DeMonge. Her daughters Emily (Anthony Williams) McCarty and Amy (Chris) Lack, three grandchildren, Xanthia McCarty, Emma Lack and Ryan Lack, her sisters Tina (Ed) Imm and Toni Smith, and nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Levi) Wick, Kaelin (Gideon) Measner, Kara Smith, Matthew Imm and Edward Imm. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt Washington. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial following the service will be held at Pierce Township Cemetery.
