Vicky Kohl

Vicky Whitt Kohl was welcomed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on June 9, 2024.

She was born on January 30, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Robert and Ida Marjorie Whitt. Vicky was a 1969 graduate of Withrow High School and University of Cincinnati alum where she studied elementary education, paving the way for her 30 year career as a first and third grade teacher at St. Thomas More School in Cincinnati.

She put in countless hours to ensure that each child received the best possible education. Her love for teaching was evident in the way she approached each day with passion, enthusiasm and energy, always striving to make learning fun and engaging for her students.

Vicky's love for nature and animals was another important aspect of her life. She spent many hours enjoying walks at Woodland Mound Park and filling her home with the beauty of nature and history, collecting sentimental artifacts, making their beautiful cabin a sanctuary where she enjoyed to be with her devoted husband of 40 years, David.

Vicky was an animal lover, rescuing and caring for many over the years.

She was a wonderful friend, always there to lend a listening ear and offer support whenever it was needed.

Her compassion and wisdom will be missed as her passing leaves a great void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to education will live on through the countless students she taught and inspired.

She will be remembered for her smile, her beauty, her kind heart, and the impact she left on everyone she met.

Vicky is preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Whitt and sister Dee Gaines.

Vicky is survived by her husband, David; stepdaughter Jennifer Kohl; her cat, Charlie; sister Janet Gaines; nephew Bobby (Kim) Thomas; nieces, Mona (Gene) Spence, Lori (Ron) Geiger, Nikki Whitt; Rachel (Nima) Gard; sister-in-law Janet (Ronnie) Wayne; several great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Rest in peace, dear Vicky. Your impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

Funeral service will be held on June 17, 2024 at 11:30AM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington. Friends may visit the funeral home from 10-11:30AM. Burial immediately following at Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
