Violet Foster

Foster, Violet fell asleep here and woke up in Heaven on January 24, 2015. She was 93 years old, born on Dec. 11, 1921 to Jacob and Sarah Slankard in Joplin, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, four infant brothers, a sister, Beatrice (George) McCrackin, three older brothers, Delmar (Margaret), Russell (Lola), and Herman (Ruby) Slankard, and two younger brothers, Marvin (Lorraine) and Ira Slankard, and one infant son, Wayne Forshey. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Forshey Dickey, two granddaughters Jerri (Rhonda) Piquard and Julie (Craig) Ball, seven great-grandchildren, Peyton and Sarah Piquard, Kaeli (Paul) Rothhaar, Chelsi (Tyler) Kirkpatrick, Zachary Ball, Chloe Ball, Izabella Piquard, and Raliegh Eads. Seven great great-grandchildren, Abigail, Cadyn, Eli, Roehn, Maxwell, Kiera, and Matthew. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and her church family. We will miss her so much but know she is having a great reunion in heaven. Funeral services will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Thursday, January 29 at 2 pm. Friends may visit on Thursday from 1 to 2 pm.
