Walter J. Croswait, age 69 of Brooksville, Florida and formerly of Amelia, Ohio, died February 28, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Terri A. Croswait (nee Poland), devoted father of Amy (James) Bramer, Jay W. (Jennifer) Croswait, Ginger (Herman) Teeters, Donald J. (Kayla) Croswait, and Brian A. (Stephany) Croswait, and loving grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 2. He was preceded in death by his parents John Walter and Mamie Donahue Croswait and his siblings Fairybell Cecil, Bessie Cottman, Harry Lee, and Marion Winkler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Walter proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a former Chief of the Dry Ridge, Kentucky Fire Department. He was also a life member of the American Legion Post 484, Amvets Post 41, VFW Post 6716, DAV, The Forty & Eight, and McMillan Lodge No. 141 F. & A.M. Funeral service will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Monday, March 14 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday (3/13) from 3 to 6 pm. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm where American Legion Post 484 and McMillan Lodge No. 141 F. & A.M. services will begin at 5:15 pm.
