Walter Kern, Sept. 16 1929 - July 8, 2021. Beloved husband of Katharina A. Kern (nee Steinberger), devoted father of Walter R. Kern and devoted brother to Richard Kern, also survived by two nephews. Passed away in his sleep July 8, 2021, at age 91. Walter was a longtime resident of Anderson Twp. Valued employee, over 30 years of Proctor & Gamble and Cold War veteran, enlisting in 1953 and proud recipient of the American Spirit Honor Medal. Service will be held at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington on Fri. July 30, at 3:30 PM. Friends may visit on Fri. from 2-3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, Walter Kern was an avid contributor to Parkinson's research and Disabled Veterans.
