His family and friends will forever cherish and remember William as a godly man with a heart of gold. A man who loved spending time with his family and a friend to all. Those who know him remember him for his uncanny storytelling abilities, humor, elaborate Christmas displays, head of great hair, love of the Great Smoky Mountains, perfectly capturing every moment on film, love of collecting and saving every little thing (and boy are we glad he did) and the way he hummed a tune or made up a song for every occasion. But most of all, he will be remembered for his unconditional love.
William loved his country, proudly serving in the United States Army 2nd Armor, 15th Cavalry. He also was part of Gods army, serving the Lord in all capacities as a member of the Central Parkway Church of God, praising and sharing God's glories through song in the church choir. In 1995 William retired from Queen City Metro after 30 years as a bus operator.
A celebration of life will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, Anderson Twp. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 1 PM
