Brokamp, William Jerome 'Jerry' Brokamp, age 93 years, of Anderson Twp. passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. Jerry was born in Sweetwine, Ohio, raised in California, Ohio, and was a graduate of Purcell High School. Jerry served in the 68th Medical Regiment during WWII in Europe. He graduated from Salmon P. Chase College with a degree in accounting. His career in accounting spanned over 25 years. He was an avid golfer all his life and continued to play into his 90s. His love of golf led him to open the Green Woods Golf Center on Ohio Pike which he operated for 36 years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Catherine Koehler Brokamp, his brothers, Nicholas and Lawrence, and sisters, Bernadette Antonelli and Margaret Wicker. He was the beloved father of Katherine (Jay) Beard, Bonnie (Larry) Riffe, Bob (Betsy) Brokamp, Amy (Steve) Solada, Julie (Mark) Heckenmueller, Elizabeth (Chet) Lewis and the late Raymond J. Brokamp. Jerry also leaves behind his grandchildren, Leah (Brandon) Bistor, Jim Beard, Matthew, Benjamin (Alissa), and Daniel Riffe, Cole, Robby and Elly Brokamp, Laura and Katie Heckenmueller, Reece and Alicia Lewis and two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Brady Bistor. He also leaves behind two sisters, Dorothy Dixon and Teresa (Dave) Brown. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jerome Church California, OH on Tues. Mar. 25, at 11 AM. Friends and family may visit at T. P. White Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington on Mon. from 6-8 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Church or the charity of your choice.
