William J. Galligan, 87, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024 following a long illness. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judith (nee Hartman) Galligan. He was the devoted father of sons, Christopher (Holly), Peter, Thomas (Sylvie) and John (Jean) Galligan, and daughter, Angela (Brad) Hitchner. Loving grandfather of Zack (Brenna), Emily, Alexis, Jacob, Nicole, Keira and Mia Galligan, and Great-granddaughters, Esme and Lila Galligan. Dear brother-in-law of Eloise (Steven) Sumpter and Melissa (Steven) Brumbaugh. Bill was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Xavier University. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Berkshire Estates Lyceum, 1969 Berkshire Club Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45230. A private family graveside service will be held.
The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff of The Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Hospice of SW Ohio for their many months of wonderful care of Bill.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center or Tunnels to Towers.
