Whalen (nee Schindler) beloved father of Joanne (Ted) Loeb Hyle, Joyce (the late George) Rees, Janice (Jerry) Smith, Bill (Randi), and Jeanne Whalen, Julie Lenhardt, and the late Jayne Weir, dear grandfather of Jennifer, Stephen (Arianna), Michael (Beth), Tracy, Brad, Roderick (Lynn), Natalie (Mike), Chris (Victoria), Megan (Nick), Kelsey (Marshall), and Jaimie, great-grandfather of 13 and uncle of many. Bill was the oldest graduate of Mason High School, he graduated from University of Cinti. in 1939, he was a mechanical engineer for R. K. LeBlond and Makino for 60 years, and a member of Bishop Fenwick Council, Knights of Columbus. Jan. 31, 2014. Age 102 years. Formerly of Silverton.
