Baker, Yvonne L. (nee Cokefair) was born in Glenmora, LA. She graduated from Academy High School in Erie, PA, and married Robert LaFollette in May 1942 and Lincoln Baker in April 1978. Mother of Roberta (Bobbi) Lucore and Yvette Mazza of Cincinnati; mother-in-law of Ed Mazza, grandmother of Stephanie Lucore McCready, David Lucore and Meredith Mazza Dresner; and great grandmother of Matthew, Bradley and Sophia Lucore of Monroe, NC, and Eden, Taylor and Cailan Dresner of Washington, DC. Shes also survived by her sister, Lucette Lyle, in Erie. She worked in the lab at Hamot Hospital, then the Robinson Insurance Agency. She attended Erie Business Academy and went to work as a secretary at GE where she was president of the GE Secretaries Club. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Rainbow Girls advisor, Worthy Matron of Gridley Chapter, Eastern Star, President of American Business Womens Association, on the Board of the PTA at both East High School and Academy High School, and Simpson Methodist Church and was very involved in the Ladies Oriental Shrine. She and Link moved to Florida where she was Million Dollar realtor and again active in the Ladies Oriental Shrine. When Link died in 1990, Yvonne moved to Cincinnati to be with her girls. Since coming to Cincinnati, Yvonne has been an active member of the United Methodist Women at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church and the Rag Doll and Patrol units of Ladies Oriental Shrine. Died March 12, 2016 at the age of 93 years and resided at Mt. Washington Care Center. A memorial service will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, 7515 Forest Rd., Cincinnati, OH. 45255, on Saturday, April 30 at 11 am.
