Yvonne Morr Parchman, 92, of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by her three children.
She was born at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, Kentucky in July 1931 and grew up on the Kentucky bank of the Ohio River. Yvonne graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Covington, Kentucky, in 1949. She went on to become a student of radiology at Cincinnati General Hospital, which led to her meeting the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Morr.
Yvonne’s life with Dick led to a loving family with three children, Lauren, Richard, and Lysa. Yvonne was preceded in death by Dick, who passed in 1971.
In 1976, Yvonne married William “Bill” Parchman, who lovingly embraced her children and grandchildren. Bill preceded Yvonne in death in 2003. Following the loss of her second love, Yvonne focused on making family gatherings memorable for all.
In 2013, Yvonne’s granddaughter, Haunnah, passed. This tragic loss greatly impacted Yvonne for the remainder of her Earthly time.
Yvonne is survived by children Lauren and Richard Morr and Lysa (Alan) Meyer, grandchildren Cheyenne (Jordan) Snyder and Sierra Meyer, and her great-grandson Cooper Snyder.
Yvonne will be remembered for her Christmas Eve gatherings, devotion to her family and friends, love for hummingbirds and cats, especially Bruce, and her fashion sense. In later years, when she could not decide between two fashionable pieces, she was known to wear one of each – whether two different earrings or two different socks.
Yvonne’s family is forever grateful for her caretakers at Arden Courts of Anderson, who gave her much love and attention during her final years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Church on Thursday, December 21st at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
