Michael Mick Colangelo of Cincinnati, age 96, died of natural causes on January 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Michael and Felicia Colangelo (nee Sabatino), his wife of 56 years, Doris Colangelo (nee Ryan), twin brother Donald Colangelo, sister Genevieve Colangelo, and cousins Ruth Osterhage, Marion De Mar, Thomas DAmico, Pete DAmico, and Lorraine Risola. He is survived by his son Michael Colangelo (and Julie Burwinkel) of Cincinnati, OH, daughter Terri Colangelo (husband Chad Bushnell) of Houston, TX, daughter Joan Colangelo (husband Rod Pool) of Pleasant Plains, IL, and four grandchildren, Jason Bushnell (wife Laura Morrell) of Waco, TX, Alexandra Pool of Pittsburgh, PA, Patrick Bushnell of New Orleans, LA, and Jessica Pool of Cincinnati.

Mick was a graduate of Withrow High School, class of 1939. He served overseas with the Air Force for nearly three years during World War II. Mick had a 42 year career with the LeBlond Machine Tool Company. He began as a laborer and ultimately became a superintendent. Before retirement in 1982 he spent 7 years in Singapore as machining superintendent of a new LeBlond plant.

Mick was an accomplished bowler and played in several leagues and tournaments. He enjoyed playing cards including bridge, five hundred and pinochle. He also loved to do woodworking. Mick followed the Cincinnati Reds, UC football & basketball, golf , tennis, and bowling professionals. He enjoyed reading mysteries and the daily newspaper. He also liked solving the daily crossword puzzle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 10:00am in the chapel of Marjorie P Lee Retirement Center, 3550 Shaw Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45208. Complimentary valet parking will be available. A private burial will be held with family.
